There is a distinct dichotomy between Northern and Southern California. Some people find it to be an unbridgeable difference. They’re wrong. What they don’t see is these two halves sing to each other.
WE LOVE YOU CALFIRE!!!! Thank you for all your hard work and sacrifice. You are the best!
So a friend of mine just got back from a cross-country road trip. I asked her “Are you glad to be back in CA?” She replied “Yes! Everywhere else is weird!”
As June 2015 comes to a close I have to mention it’s been a weird month, weather-wise. A little bit of rain to help our drought-ridden state hold off the fire season. And so, I want to say—I like CalFire. Thanks guys! You are the best and feel safe when I see you travel up and down this great expanse that is our state.
You know what’s fun about traveling on any of CA’s interstates? They’re massive, for one thing, but that’s not it. What it is, is seeing the cars on the other side, in that direction you’re not going, jammed up for miles while you, heading opposite of where they’re going, are traveling full speed, free and clear.
Hey, I’ve felt their pain. I’ve been there. That’s what makes being on this side so sweet.
They shouldn’t be mad, though. Just turn up the radio and enjoy the downtime. You’ll get there. That’s how it is in California.
Oh, and mind the Chippies.
I like CalTrans.
